07795 364642 We are a small stud farm, breeding the beautiful and versatile Spanish PRE horse, in the lovely Dorset countryside. We aim to breed trainable Spanish horses with good movement. The bold, willing temperaments are what the breed is all about and we believe we have that in our horses. Our setup is designed for horses to live out most of the year, with plenty of space and companionship. We usually foal in spring/summer so that the foals can have good turnout immediately. We wean our foals later than most commercial yards as we believe this process often affects the horse for many years to come. Ensuring they are both physically ready (stomach development) and mentally prepared is important to us. Our weaning process involves physical separation but not visual separation. This method seems to cause little stress to either party and hopefully produces a confident and healthy horse for the future. Andalusian
There is no breed/stud book in the UK or Spain for 'Andalusians'. It is sometimes a name given to non-studbook or partbreds in Spain. Many people here in the UK are not familiar with the name 'P.R.E' or 'Pura Raza Espanola' (Purebred Spanish Horse) but recognise 'Andalusian' and therefore many studs still refer to them as such.
